Systems Integration
                                                            by CSS LABS™

Comp America (CSS USA) performs final assembly of it's products in the USA at it's new CSS LABS facility in Linden, NJ.  We also employ the skills of highly talented fabrication companies inside of the USA to perform board and metal work, as well as leveraging the facilities of  our in house software engineering business unit.  This enables us to provide a true turnkey unit solution to vendors interested in Made in America solutions that cost no more than offshore products, but have greater quality and longer life, for maximum customer satisfaction.

System design - We employ system engineers with experience from IBM, Digital, Compaq, ECS, and other companies to build the diverse line of products we assemble and ship.  We use advanced cad cam and system design tools for the early phases of each system we design, and "build up" control packages, along with specially designed procedures provides us by Microsoft Corporation.

Comm-PCI Integration -  We integrate a variety of Telecom adapter types into our customized Turnkey Telecom Solutions. Integrations include ATM, Frame Relay, X.25, HDLC, SDLC, SS7, BiSync and other protocols along with T1, E1, J1, ADSL, 56k DDS as well as V.35, X.21, RS422, RS485 and RS232 adapters, make it possible to build about any product for any company. These are compatible with our Tiny PCs, which serve as building blocks for large scale networking.  Among them are boards from Lucent, Telcordia and Sangoma.  We program these systems using common building block APIs in Windows and Linux. Here are a few of Sangoma's boards and APIs, for example: click here.  Among our past customers was the FTS2000 THS system for the US Federal Government.

CT-Media Processing Integration -   We integrate a wide variety of Intel, Dialogic and Rhetorics Media Processing Adapters and API Logic, and can program any form of control interface needed for them.  Here are a few of Intel's Media Processing Boards, for example: click here.  Among our many customers are Hospital Systems in Virginia and West Virginia for whom we have developed 30x16 port telephonic voice dictation systems so Doctors can easily use headsets, and ordinary phones and their Medical Center's Central PBX, to voice store and records on our systems, and store and forward procedure notes and records to central filing, to meet the requirements of insurance providers who insure their Hospital against losses and lawsuits.

Storage Integration -  We can produce SAN, NAS and HMI Storage Farms in sizes "to suit" for resellers who are interested in maximizing storage availability versus cost.   WE can build as much as 40 SATA Drives into a single system, using a 4-way mainboard for max speed and reliability, and Windows or Linux as the controlling system, with a choice of industry standard Storage Area Networking, Network Attached Storage, Network Raid, Storage Clustering and Heirachial Migration Internetworking, as well as macro Storage Servers, which would make EMC2 and others blush. Our ongoing channel partnerships with Seagate, Maxtor, Hitachi and Western Digital, give us access to large volumes of drives and tape backup units, as well as our unique VFTA technology (http://www.vfta.org) which has proven time and time again, that system drives need redundancy, too!

System Boards - Comp America has a channel relationship with over 50 system board manufacturers, and it fabricates its own PC system boards.  We purchase the finest SBCs from prominent board manufacturers who make Single Board Computers to the Intel ICA and PICMG specification and maintain our own fab center (which makes audio cards, media and video components) which makes component boards for key Government and Corporate Clients used within our systems..

Custom Products - We fully customize all aspects of any system we make, using design skills of personnel with over 30 years past experience building computers.

Selling and Inventory -  We have the ability to source any company's requirements at any level of productivity, we maintain a full EDI Center and have outsource and insource facilities for expanded capacity.

BannerIntegration - Our highly experienced Integration OEMs, working from a computer generated work order system, build systems at that time and that time only.  We do not stock built inventory.  We assemble your choice of components into a properly designed, cooled, organized and reliable system unit. We deploy an automated system management facility to build every stage of system's defined by you, our finished systems are among the highest quality in the industry and have surpassed every competitor as a result.  Each system is hand tuned and hand examined, then run through a 200 point safety and QA check, before being put to box.

Freight Ships - We use the services of UPS, Airborne, Federal Express Freight and other carriers, who assist us in the final effort to labeling and tracking.  We use only .32 mil and up packing tapes and boxes capable of holding 600-1200 pounds, even when shipping a 200 pound computer.  We palletize and use tilt and tell, and other proper marking systems, and have special pickup in padded van arrangements with our carriers.  We have agreed to use bulk Teamsters manned shipments on large scale shipments informally with the local Teamsters Union in and around New Jersey.

Industry Standard Product Certifications - As needed, Comp America can provide complete system certification services for the products we build and integrate, meeting or exceeding  national and international emissions and safety standards including, but not limited to:

  • RETMA, RJ and Flo standards
  • NEBS (Core Certification by Bellcore / Telcordia) Levels 1, 2 and 3
